    • On April 24, 2009, the School of Business dedicated an official VCU Beta Gamma Sigma Key in the courtyard of Snead Hall.

      Participating in the ceremony were Jason Mauney, a graduating senior and new inductee into the Beta Gamma Sigma Society; George Kasper, professor of information systems; Michael Sesnowitz, dean of the School of Business; Charles Byles, associate professor of management; and Steven Markel, who received the Chapter Honoree Award from Beta Gamma Sigma. Beta Gamma Sigma is the business honors society.

      The key was installed as a symbol of academic excellence and school pride and is located in a place that students and faculty will pass each day. This year 113 students – a record – were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma at VCU.
