Eligibility Requirements for 2012 Exam Testing period:
PHR/SPHR
To be eligible for the exam, you must have two years of professional (exempt-level) HR work experience. The Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) considers work done at a “professional level” as the equivalent of exempt-level work. For purposes of eligibility for the HR Certification Institute’s exams, professional experience includes supervisory responsibility and/or creative or original work that requires advanced HR knowledge. The two years of experience do not need to be current or sequential. But more recent experience is more likely to coincide with the exam’s content. The PHR/SPHR examination is computer administered two times per year. The current testing window is between May 1 - June 30, 2012. Applications are accepted January 9- March 9, 2012. The late registration period is March 10 - April 13, 2012.
The next testing window is between December 1, 2012 - January 31, 2013. Applications will be accepted July 9 -October 5, 2012. The late registration period will be October 6 - November 9, 2012.
For more information about the exam, call HRCI at 703-548-3440 or visit www.hrci.org/HRcertification. You must register for the exam separately through the HRCI.
