The VCU Business Society annually holds an alumni reception in conjunction with a VCU Rams Men's basketball game.  In 2009 more than 700 alumni and friends attended the Tip Off and watched the Rams defeat Old Dominion University on the court.  The reception included the VCU Pep Band, Cheerleaders, VCU Gold Dancers, Rodney the Ram, a DJ and video of previous VCU Rams basketball games.  The 2010 Tip Off is scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2010.
