    • OVERVIEW:
      The INFO16X program consists of 7 online/self-paced, 1 credit, pass/fail, courses that allow students to improve their proficiency of microcomputer-based applications such as WindowsVista/Internet, and Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. The courses introduce/expand upon students basic knowledge of features and operations of these applications. Proficiency in computer skills will help provide the necessary foundation students need to prepare for VCU course work and better equip them for professional careers.

      WINDOWS & OFFICE 2007 ONLINE COMPUTER COURSES

      • 1 (one) credit per course.
      • P(Pass)/F(Fail) credit. P will not impact GPA, F will.
      • Online - no classes to attend.
      • On-campus testing required.
      • Self-Paced –study/learn on your own.
      • One exam – pass at 80%. 2 attempts to pass with deadline for 1st attempt/retake option.
      • PC based. MAC's not supported.
      • Required: VCU Email, Internet access, Internet Explorer browser software
      • Required: Online Account access code purchased online and textbooks available Virginia Book Company and VCU Bookstore. (See course handouts for details.)
      • Course handouts, Blackboard beginning of semester. < /li>
      • Blackboard site for each course - checkfor office hours, exam dates, etc. . 
      • Optional “Getting Started” sessions – dates announced via email/Blackboard.
      • Online exam sign-up

      Late adding of these courses is possible through the withdrawal date each semester/session but only through School of Business Undergraduate Office, B1100, First Floor, Snead Hall at 301 W. Main St., Richmond, VA.
