Craig MoonThe VCU School of Business welcomed Craig Moon, president and publisher of USA TODAY as the Charles G. Thalhimer Family Executive-in-Residence on April 3.

As Executive-in-Residence, Moon met with business students and faculty as well as the school’s business council. He presented a free public lecture, “USA TODAY: Building the Brand,” which was attended by industry professionals as well as members of the VCU community.

Moon has been president and publisher of USA TODAY, which has the largest circulation of any newspaper in the United States, since May 2003. In addition to USA TODAY, Moon oversees USAToday.com; USA TODAY Live, the television arm of USA TODAY; USA WEEKEND, a national newspaper magazine; and USA TODAY Sports Weekly, a weekly baseball and football magazine.

The Charles G. Thalhimer Family Executive-in-Residence program was established to bring nationally and internationally prominent business leaders to the VCU School of Business to interact with students and faculty. Issues and ideas are exchanged, generating growth for all participants.
