The School of Business is currently working with the VCU Honors College to offer a Business Honors Program. Beginning in Fall semester, 2010, the program will be available to business students in the Honors College.
The Mission of the Business Honors Program is to provide a challenging experience for especially talented School of Business students that boosts creativity, strategic thinking, teamwork and leadership in collaboration with the VCU Honors College.
The Business Honors Program will produce exceptional business graduates who are prepared to excel in any environment of their choosing. The program will achieve this by:
fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity and achievement,
creating long-term, cohesive relationships within a community of highly-motivated VCU students,
and partnering with local industry leaders to provide internships, seminars and professional mentoring.
Students will benefit from three program componants:
· Curriculum: Special sections of required business courses in the sophomore, junior and senior years (in addition to Honors College classes)
· Extra-curricular Activities including special internships, seminars and events for Business Honors students as well as opportunities to conduct undergraduate research with business professors.
· Personal Growth & Career Planning designed to help students enhance self-knowledge, clarify career goals, and receive professional mentoring from the business community.
